COVID-19 Student Relief Fund Update

CDAA supports the College of DuPage Foundation's COVID-19 Student Relief Fund. We announced in early April a challenge to our members to donate to the fund and we will match, from our Treasury, dollar for dollar up to $2,500. As of today, 54 retirees have contributed $12,400 to this effort. See News & Notes May 21, 2020 for additional information.

COVID-19 STUDENT RELIEF FUND

We hope you’re doing well during this unprecedented time. None of us have ever lived through a pandemic as devastating as this one. During these times it is important to help those who are suffering physically and/or financially. The College of DuPage Foundation has started a “COVID-19 Student Relief Fund” to help College of DuPage students who are suffering. They also found a benefactor (the Shebik Family) who is willing to match donations up to $25,000. The COVID-19 Student Relief Fund will help students who find themselves facing unanticipated financial struggles. CDAA members care about students. We dedicated our careers to help students at the College of DuPage. We have the opportunity to help students once again. If you donate to the College of DuPage Foundation's COVID-19 Student Relief Fund before April 30, 2020 AND you let us know the dollar amount you donated via email at contact@CODannuitants.org or by calling Bob Sobie at 630 469- 6727, the College of DuPage Annuitants Association will match your donation up to $2,500. In other words if you send the Foundation $100. CDAA will send the Foundation $100 (up to $2,500). And the Shebik Family will send the Foundation $200 (up to $25,000). Your $100 donation will turn into $400 that can help a College of DuPage student in need. (Give any amount as you are able.) Please send your check to The College of DuPage Foundation, 425 Fawell Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 (Write COVID-19 Fund in the memo line). Or go to the College of DuPage Foundation's web site and make your donation online.
